Many couples are increasingly opting to "tell their story" as part of their ceremony, usually before the vows. They tell the story of how they met, how the relationship evolved and any interesting points or challenges along the way. Most guests and family members have only very different and incomplete knowledge of your relationship's origins. Telling your story is a great way to bring everyone up to speed with the same facts and you control the spin on how it is presented. Ask to see our real samples of how dozens of our clients have shared their stories with their guests. All too very powerful and enjoyable results! Some couples are taking it even further and making it an extraordinarily enjoyable experience for all of their guests. Photo PowerPoint or slide shows are a powerful way to make your wedding ceremony, just a little more personal when you show pictures of the bride and groom growing up, dating, engagement shots, etc and put them all together in a slide show. A slide show can be done to music or without to maximize the effect. It's very easy and fun to create one yourself however you can always have friends or professionals prepare something for you. Imagine this. Just after you take place at the front and your guests have been welcomed, you treat your guests to a five minute slide show of your lives as a couple. A collection of pictures is displayed from every chapter of your relationship. Beginning with how the first date was set up and by whom, how it proceeded, reactions and advice from friends to every other image of interest you could provide. Humourous bubble quotes are inserted to reflect the thoughts that were going on at the time. Your audience is thrilled with the show. Every guest is riveted. And laughter fills the entire room as each slide reveals yet another piece of your story. And then your ceremony resumes building upon the incredible energy and momentum that you've just launched with the telling of your story. When a slide show presentation is used, we encourage it to be shown just prior to the exchange of vows and rings. This allows your guests, some of whom may only be familiar with the bride or the groom but not both, a little opportunity to get a feel for the other personality. Alternatively, a photo slide show need not take place during the ceremony at all nor with larger projection equipment. Your videographer or photographer can often provide you with a smaller version. Your own laptop could do the same. Placed by your card box or on your gift table, guests will have just as much fun at your reception watching your life in pictures. |
