Often, there is a very special family member or friend that couples might wish to take a lead role in performing their wedding ceremony. Sometimes, it is a cleric from another country or jurisdiction and they lack the legal authority to conduct ceremonies in Ontario. In other situations, the ceremony is being performed in an exotic destination location where the cost of bringing in the local officiant means sacrificing their control of the content and delivery of their ceremony.

We can enable you to achieve your vision through a creative co-officiation of the ceremony. We will guide you through the additional complexities involved so that you and your guests will experience exactly what you want while we ensure that all of the legal requirements are observed.

One recent example of this was a large inter-cultural wedding where the groom's godfather, a Hindu priest from the USA, was able to lead a traditional ceremony for the 250+ guests while we integrated a brief civil ceremony about 90 minutes into the Hindu ceremony which satisfied the bride's family's desire for balance. This both eliminated the need for an additional ceremony and yet still ensured the desired participation of the godfather as the honoured celebrant.
