There are times when it's important to do something really special ... something that we normally don't do. We may want to say something or do something that is not necessary, but we know that it will make us and those we care for feel better. This is what vow renewal is all about.

There can be many reasons to do this, but ultimately, vow renewal comes from the heart, not the head. When is it appropriate? Actually, when isn't it? But we're talking about something really special here.

One of the things that we often hear when we perform customized wedding ceremonies is "I wish that we'd been able to get married like this back when we were wed!"; or "Next time I get married, I'm going to do something like this". A vows renewal is also ideal for a couple who were married abroad, but wish to have a celebration for those family and friends who were unable to attend the wedding.

Well, without even changing partners, keeping the spouse that you've already got, maybe you want to tell the person you've loved all this time just how much better life is because of him or her. Perhaps now is the time.

If a significant anniversary is coming up for you or your parents, perhaps a special, unique celebration is in order. It could be in a home or a restaurant or a park or anywhere you want it to be ... perhaps even a "destination wedding" (click on the sidebar to the left).

If you've come through difficult times with the love of your life, maybe the most emotionally satisfying thing that you could do would be to reaffirm what you mean to each other. Say it between yourselves and in the company those who also mean something to you!

Some couples choose to take the very same vows as when they first wed. Others write new vows to reflect where they are now in life. It is put together by you from a wide range of choices we offer. No two ceremonies are exactly the same, and you are creating a unique event that you and your guests will remember. Special people in your lives can take part in the ceremony. There are wonderful ways to involve your children, grandchildren, guests from your wedding, or other friends and relatives in the ceremony. Sometimes new rings are purchased for the occasion.

It is important in life to take pause, reflect and reaffirm. It is a key to life!

Any married couple, of any age and married for any length of time, can arrange a Renewal of Marriage Vows ceremony. There is no restriction with regards to area, and it does not matter if you do not live in the area where you would like to hold your ceremony. Ceremonies last between 10 and 15 minutes, depending on the number of options and readings chosen.

Maybe we only go around once, or maybe we go through many cycles with each other in this cosmic dance. Let's remember that love lifts us to another level and enriches each day. Celebrate!
